The Café-Concert
The bar with a stage: the posters that called Paris out for a drink and a song.
Entry was free and the drink paid for the show. Chéret drew the Ambassadeurs and the Alcazar d'Été on the Champs-Élysées for twenty years, Lautrec drew Aristide Bruant in his red scarf, and Steinlen sent the Chat Noir's cat out on tour. No drink brand hangs on this wall, so no mark here is live.
